DAVID LAGAT
CO-FOUNDER AND Chief Executive OfficeR
David has over 20 years of experience in multiple areas of real estate, finance, banking, business analysis, and investment structuring. He is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of SLX Development and provides strategic direction to its investment activities and operations of the business. Prior to shifting his focus to development, David was the CEO of Bella Asset Management. Bella is an owner operator of Class B and C apartments in Texas and neighboring states. David started investing in single family and small multifamily in 2001. In 2011, Bella switched its focus to multifamily and since then has acquired and operated over 6,000 units. Bella is vertically integrated with management, finance and construction in house. David is a graduate of Texas Christian University.

Karim Khoja is a co-founder and President at SLX Development. Karim is also the co-founder of Bravo Hospitality Group, which currently owns a portfolio of Marriott properties in the mid-west. In addition to being a hospitality business owner and developer in Chicago for nearly 30 years, Karim was the owner of North Shore Management Group & led the company from operating 10 Dunkin Donuts to over 70 stores in the greater Chicago area. Karim has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin and a MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Faiz Rajwani
Senior Development Associate
Faiz Rajwani is a Senior Development Associate at SLX Development. His primary responsibilities include overseeing project management, qualifying deals, conducting due diligence, and more. Prior to SLX, Faiz started his real estate journey in Capital Markets at Mohr Partners, where he specialized in investment sales for various types of real estate, including retail, office, multifamily, industrial, and hospitality. He gained extensive experience in market analysis, deal structuring, and financial modeling during his time there. Currently, Faiz is in his final year at Southern Methodist University (SMU) and is set to graduate in December 2023. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Economics with Financial Applications. During his academic journey, Faiz has been actively involved in several extracurricular activities, such as real estate clubs, finance clubs, and volunteer organizations. These activities have provided him with valuable networking opportunities and helped him hone his leadership and teamwork skills. Faiz is passionate about real estate and is a licensed Texas real estate agent.
